A classic Swiss-made Katadyn Pocket ceramic water filtration system, complete with its blue Katadyn carrying case and intake hose with screened pre-filter.
The Katadyn Pocket has long been regarded as a serious expedition-grade portable water filter rather than a lightweight disposable camping filter. Its rugged pump construction and serviceable ceramic filtration element were designed for extended use in backpacking, camping, international travel, emergency preparedness, expeditions, and remote locations.
This is an older Swiss-made example featuring the distinctive white cylindrical body, substantial metal pump assembly, T-handle, Katadyn markings, and “SWISS MADE” marking cast into the upper housing. It has a particularly nice old-school, industrial build compared with many modern lightweight filtration systems.
