This unit has been tested and is NOT being sold as fully functional.
Known Condition / Test Results:
- Unit powers on normally.
- Cassette transport operates.
- Both illuminated VU meters are working.
- During recording, both left and right channels operate properly.
- The deck is able to make a recording, and the recording itself was tested with both channels present and working properly.
- However, during normal playback, one audio channel has a problem. The affected channel does not reproduce audio correctly and may sound distorted/crackly/uneven.
I am not representing every switch, adjustment, input/output or secondary function as fully restored or calibrated. This is a vintage electronic component and additional age-related issues may exist.
COSMETIC CONDITION
The unit shows normal cosmetic wear from age and previous use, including scratches, marks, discoloration and other imperfections. The brushed-metal faceplate still presents well overall. Please examine all photos carefully, as they are an important part of the description and show the actual unit you will receive.

This unit is being sold specifically with a known playback-channel defect. It should be purchased by someone who understands vintage cassette equipment and is prepared to service or repair it.
The fact that the recording section was observed working correctly does not mean the entire deck has been fully restored or professionally calibrated.
