Here's a great investment and one-of-a-kind collectiblethat not only celebrates your favorite artist but also supports a good cause! Lars Ulrich's signature has been certified authentic by Beckett Authentication Services, the leading third-party autograph authentication provider. You can trust that the signature on this item is genuine and of the highest quality.
Some autographs are valuable because of who signed them. Others become truly fascinating because of how they were signed.
This receipt, personally filled out and signed in pen by Lars Ulrich, stands out for exactly that reason.
At first glance, it may seem like an ordinary piece of paper—but the details are what transform it into an exceptional collector’s item. Not only did Lars sign it and include his member number, but he also handwrote and clearly printed his last name, “Ulrich,” in the designated section of the receipt.
And for serious autograph collectors, that detail is enormous.
Lars Ulrich’s signature is famously difficult to decipher. Like many fast-moving celebrity autographs, it often appears rushed, stylized, or abbreviated to the point where only experienced collectors can identify it instantly. But this piece is different. Here, you don’t just get the signature—you get Lars himself carefully writing out his last name clearly and legibly, creating a rare level of identification and authenticity built directly into the item.
That’s what makes this receipt feel so personal and unusual.
It wasn’t created as memorabilia. It was a functional, everyday document that happened to pass through the hands of one of heavy metal’s most influential figures. The combination of the signature, handwritten member number, and clearly printed surname gives the piece a candid authenticity that staged collectibles often lack.
You can almost picture the moment: Lars filling out the form quickly but deliberately, unaware that this ordinary receipt would one day become a preserved artifact tied to the legacy of Metallica and one of the most important drummers in rock history.
For collectors, pieces like this are especially compelling because they reveal the human side of iconic figures. It’s not just a flashy autograph—it’s handwriting, personality, and real-world interaction frozen in time.
A signed album is impressive. But a receipt personally completed by Lars Ulrich himself, complete with a clearly handwritten “Ulrich,” is the kind of unusual, deeply authentic piece that seasoned collectors never forget.
But that's not all! With your purchase of this item, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Northfield Arts Guild. The Northfield Arts Guild, a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering creativity and community through the arts. Established in 1959, the Guild has a rich history of offering a wide range of programs and events, including visual and performing arts, educational workshops, and community outreach initiatives. The donation from your purchase helps sustain these valuable cultural and educational activities, enriching the lives of people of all ages and backgrounds.
Every item up for sale has its own story, and part of my interest in collecting autographs is researching their history and the era when I suspect they were signed. As you're shopping, please remember that some of these items have been treasured by others or signed years ago in another season of the artist's career. I do my best to document any flaws in my items in the listing photos, but some flaws speak to the authenticity of the item, the age of the piece, and you never know -- a crease in a photo might have been placed there by the artist itself in the rush of the graph.
