The men are dressed in period-typical working-class attire, including button-up shirts, caps, and vests. They are posed closely together in rows inside what looks like an industrial workshop or a factory setting. A couple of the workers in the front row are holding metal pails or lunch tins, which was common practice for laborers of that era.
