Now this is the Lowell George copy for somebody who wants to go a little deeper than the original album.This is the 2024 Record Store Day 45th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of Thanks I’ll Eat It Here, issued by Rhino/Warner as a 2LP set on 140-gram black vinyl. The first LP gives you the original album, newly remastered and cut AAA from the original master tapes, while the second LP opens up the sessions with previously unreleased alternate versions and outtakes. This copy is beautiful. The records are NM, while the jacket is M and still in the original shrink with the RSD hype/marketing sticker intact. Basically exactly how I like finding an opened RSD copy—the records have been accessed, but the package has been kept exceptionally clean. Please look through the photos for the exact copy you’ll receive.And that bonus LP is really what makes this edition worth having. Along with alternate takes of “Easy Money,” “Two Trains,” “Honest Man,” “Cheek to Cheek” and “20 Million Things,” you get material including “China White,” “Doctor My Eyes,” “Roll ’Em Easy” and “Brickyard Blues (Play Something Sweet).” For a Little Feat/Lowell George fan, this is a pretty great companion to an original 1979 pressing—you get the album from the original tapes, then another record that lets you hear what was happening around the edges of those sessions.NM vinyl, M jacket still in shrink, hype sticker intact, and the complete RSD deluxe package.
