1965 Ludwig No. 905 Jazz Combo 3x13\" Snare Drum in Oyster Black Pearl
Beautiful and unusual, this is the shallow 3x13, six-lug model with Keystone badge serial #126941.
The 3\" depth gives it a really distinctive profile compared with the more familiar Ludwig Jazz Festival and Pioneer snares. It’s not a model you see every day, especially in Oyster Black Pearl. The shell is Ludwig’s period mahogany/poplar/mahogany construction.

The Oyster Black Pearl wrap presents exceptionally well and still has strong contrast and character.
The shell, badge, hoops, and hardware are also remarkably clean for a drum from 1965, with only light age-appropriate cosmetic wear.
Based on my inspection, the hardware appears to be original to the drum. As with any vintage instrument of this age, please look closely at all of the photos and make your own assessment as well. This would be a great addition to a vintage Ludwig collection, a natural match for an Oyster Black Pearl kit, or just a very cool vintage snare for someone who likes less-common Ludwig pieces.
