The Cincinnati Service of fine porcelain was imported by George Washington for the White House in 1786. This is an exact replica of the famous Cincinnati vegetable bowl and was made in Portugal for the American company Mottahedeh. They were founded in 1929 in New York City by Mildred Mottahedeh and her husband as an importer of fine china and porcelain but soon became the preeminent producer of reproductions of famous antique china patterns. The bowl measures 10.25 inches wide by 4.75 inches tall and is in excellent condition. On the bottom, it features a very rare signature by Mildred R. Mottahedeh (1908-2000). An unsigned bowl sells for $500 on the Mottahedeh website.
