Tested with MTH Z4000 and locomotive powered up with sound, directional lighting and runs forward and backward. The fan driven smoke unit works as well.
Tender currently has green MTH battery in it, but would recommend replacing this with a fresh rechargeable or BCR for worry free operation.
Note on MTH PS1: Some MTH locos will lot run conventionally with a Lionel CW-80 due to its chopped sine wave. Please be advised, that this model was tested and functions correctly with the MTH Z4000.
