The Hunter Lite – Ruger American Short Action is a purpose-built hunting stock that is designed for Ruger American and Ruger American Gen II rifles chambered in short-action calibers.
The Hunter Lite streamlines the design of our original Hunter Stocks, reducing the weight and size to provide a fully featured upgrade for those wanting a hunting rifle that won’t weigh them down during extended outdoor pursuits.
The result is a stock that weighs approx. 2 lbs., 6 oz. or almost 25% less than the Hunter American Stock, with a forend that’s almost 25% narrower than the original.Featuring enhanced ergonomics, the Hunter Lite Stock – Ruger American Short Action is compatible with both right and left-hand rifles by simply swapping out an inlet insert on the stock.
Other key features of the Hunter Lite include an aluminum V-bedding block featuring reinforced steel pillars to prevent compression and deformation while shooting.
The buttstock and forend also have integral sling swivel studs for use with a variety of slings and bipods, and removable half-inch spacers for LOP adjustment and snap-on cheek risers for adjustable comb height. 
The enlarged trigger guard allows comfortable use with gloves and easy access to the amofferextrous magazine release.
