The Marantz 2230 Champagne Engraved Face Receiver is a vintage audio device that exudes elegance and style. With its unique champagne engraved face, this receiver is a standout piece in any vintage audio collection. The 4 digit serial number adds a touch of authenticity and rarity to this classic Marantz model. Perfect for audiophiles looking to add a touch of nostalgia and sophistication to their stereo setup. Very early serial number 2602. Unit works, but had some issues. FM radio sounds a little muddy. Don’t really know what’s going on with it. It works, but doesn’t sound as good as it should. Face plate head some tape on it that the previous owner left on there for years and it has left a tape print over the power button and over the balance knob. I didn’t want to rub it too hard and damage the champagne coloring on the face plate. If you didn’t know it was there you probably would never notice it. Phono and auxiliary sounds great. These are getting very hard to find with the champagne face plate. Very nice collectible. Would recommend getting it fully restored. Please view photos for a better idea of condition.
