First US edition of LeBlanc\'s sixth book recounting the adventures of the gentleman thief Arsène Lupin with four illustrations. Following LeBlanc\'s dark-themed novel 813, this book presented readers with lighter stories reminiscent of those found in the first collection of the series, Arsène Lupin, Gentleman Burglar. The original French edition contained nine short stories, one fewer than this English version. The translation is by Alexander Texeira de Mattos.
Very good or better with slight wear to bottom of spine and darkening (not water staining) of half title and title pages as shown. Flaps from original dust jacket laid in.
