MarineMaurice Lemaître, prepares the School of Arts and Crafts and that of Public Works. After having participated in the liberation of Paris, he began a degree in philosophy at the Sorbonne.He entered the libertarian movement in 1948 and began a career as a journalist by writing in the journal of this movement2 where he held the literary platform. In 1949, he met Isidore Isou and was seduced by political ideas and creative passion3.In 1950, he joined the Lettrist avant-garde group, where he created the same year a political magazine: the \"Youth Front\", as well as a literary and pictorial magazine, \"Ur\", which remains as The Minotaur of Lettrism. Since that date, Maurice Lemaître has not stopped acting and creating in various fields explored by the literary movement: poetry, theater, dance, novel, painting, photography, cinema, economy, psychopathology and psychotherapy.In his biography of Céline, Henri Godard reports that the young Lemaître, on the eve of the trial of Celine in absentia, set on February 21, 1950, in agreement with Maurice Joyeux and the anarchist weekly Le Libertaire, launched an investigation entitled \"What do you think? you know about the Céline lawsuit? \" Having received several favorable responses to Celine, both from personalities such as Marcel Aymé, René Barjavel, Jean Dubuffet and Albert Camus, as well as from simple readers, he asked Céline what he had to answer to the accusations. Having been convinced by Céline\'s reply, Lemaître then sent the President of the Court of Justice a letter written on behalf of an \"Israelite Association for the Reconciliation of the French\", which earned him the congratulations of Céline, partially quoted by Godard: \"Here is the true genius! The great Rabbi in the bath, willingly or by force! Lustral baptism! You will end as President of the Council of Life! You have the age and the talent!\"The contributions of Maurice Lemaître in the visual arts, poetry and in the novel are so inescapable that it is quoted in modern studies on contemporary literature (Center Pompidou, Hachette, Seghers, Larousse ...), both in the countries of the West than of the East.Poems by Maurice Lemaître have been set to music by the lutenist-theorist Michel Faleze and sung by Marie-Thérèse Richol-Müller.
