McIntosh MC2505 Stereo Power Amplifier – Genuine McIntosh Glass – Original Bulbs – Original Double Box

This is one of McIntosh’s classic early solid-state amplifiers, underrated at50 watts per channel, with the iconic black glass face, blue power meters, and unmistakable vintage McIntosh styling.
A major cosmetic plus on this example is thefront glass, which was replaced withgenuine original McIntosh glass sourced from Audio Classics. This is not reproduction glass. The face presents extremely well and gives the amplifier a very clean appearance.
The amplifier also retains itsoriginal incandescent bulbs and lighting. It has not been converted to LEDs, which will appeal to anyone wanting to keep the original look and character.
There are a couple of cosmetic details from the original owner that I want to disclose clearly. The top metal cover had the previous owner’s name/marking etched into the center area. That section was refinished and painted, and the marking is now much less noticeable, but it is still faintly visible from certain angles if you look for it. The previous owner’s name is also still present on the rear of the amplifier.

Overall, this is a very attractive and fully functional MC2505 with genuine McIntosh glass, original lighting, and original double-box packaging. It would make an excellent addition to a vintage McIntosh system, listening room, or collection.
Please review all photos carefully for the exact cosmetic condition, especially the faint refinished area on the top cover and the previous owner’s name on the rear.
