Mikimoto Akoya Pearl Necklace Silver Clasp with Rhodium Finish 6-6.5mm 15.5\" For Sale

This is a very well preserved top quality vintage Mikimoto Akoya pearl necklace with wonderful lustrous pearls that boast the most desirable strong pink overtone. The pearls slightly graduate in the 6-6.5mm diameter range and the necklace measures approximately 15.5 inches in length (inclusive of the clasp, with the clasp closed shut). The signature silver clasp features brilliant rhodium finish which has effectively prevented any tarnishing over the decades - typical of vintage Mikimoto craftsmanship.

The necklace shows no signs of wear to my naked eyes - possibly never worn. The original Mikimoto velvet presentation box also looks almost brand new - very rare considering the age of this vintage strand. The light golden paper box that covers the velvet box does show some signs of wear - see photos.
