A substantial lot of high-quality Japanese seed beads from Miyuki, Miyuki Delica and TOHO, being destashed from a large personal bead collection. Each bag or container has between 2 & 10 grams of beads. The lot sizes differ from color to color; are priced accordingly.
I am selling these by color family, with each lot containing a variety of shades, finishes and/or sizes within that color family. Please see all photos for the exact beads included in this particular lot.
WHY THESE BEADS ARE SPECIAL
These aren’t generic craft-store seed beads. Miyuki Delicas are precision cylinder beads, developed by Miyuki specifically for their highly uniform shape and size. Their straight sides and relatively large holes make them particularly desirable for peyote, brick stitch, loom work and other bead-weaving techniques, where consistent beads create neat, even rows and crisp patterns. Miyuki lists approximately 200 size 11/0 Delicas per gram.
TOHO Japanese seed beads are also known for very consistent sizing and shape. Their relatively large holes allow multiple thread passes and mean there are more beads per gram than with many comparable seed beads. TOHO 11/0, 8/0 and 6/0 round beads are approximately 2.2 mm, 3 mm and 4 mm respectively.
The combination of Miyuki Delicas and Japanese round seed beads makes these lots especially useful for anyone who does detailed bead weaving and wants beads that work together predictably.
CONDITION
These beads are from a destash of a larger bead collection. They have been stored and handled as craft supplies. Some beads are in original tubes or packaging and others have been transferred to bags/containers.
