Montblanc Writers Edition William Shakespeare Limited Edition Ballpoint Pen, Ref. 114349 - No. 7728/9000
Issued in 2016 for the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death, this is the ballpoint version of Montblanc's Writers Edition, limited to 9,000 pieces worldwide. The black and white design is a nod to the flags flown at the Globe Theatre (white for comedy, black for tragedy). The octagonal black cap recalls the shape of the Globe, the clip is inspired by Shakespeare's signature earring, and the wide gold-plated ring carries motifs from his plays. The white precious resin barrel has a herringbone guilloche pattern, and Shakespeare's signature is engraved on the cap.
LIMITED NUMBER: 7728/9000 is engraved on the cap and matches the 7728/9000 on the box label. Both are shown in the photos.
