This striking Arts & Crafts design is adapted from an art glass window created by William Joseph “Dard” Hunter for the Roycroft Inn in East Aurora, New York, in 1906. Hunter (1883–1966), best known for his lifelong study of papermaking, was an important designer within the Roycroft community and the American Arts & Crafts movement. Motawi Tileworks adapted Hunter’s historic poppy design into this beautifully crafted art pottery tile, preserving the strong lines and stylized floral imagery characteristic of the period.
