This is a Premium Curly Sugar Maple Flintlock Pistol Stock with an excellent barrel. The stock and barrel are reminiscent of the European style of the late 1600s through the first quarter of the 1700s. With a large bulbus butt, the stock could be shaped into several styles. The barrel channel is 9-inches long, and the barrel is 10-inches long. Not including the tang.The barrel is a .62 cal. tapered smoothbore barrel with the flared tang breech plug included. The muzzle measures 3/4-inches, which tapers to the breech which measures 7/8ths inches.The lock panel, as it sets measures 4-inches. However, once the lock is inletted and surfaced, the lock panel will measure about 4-1/4 inches. So, the lock panel will accommodate a 4-inch lock plate with a molding, or 4-1/4 lock plate with a blended lock. (No molding).This is going to make an excellent flintlock pistol.I have 6 of these stocks Curly Maple, and 2 in Cherry. I\'m not sure how many I\'m going to sell and how many I\'m going to build.
