Rare original GM/Buick Front Light Monitor accessory package, part #981417, for various 1971-1972 Buick models.
This is an original period fiber-optic exterior light monitoring system. The fender-mounted chrome monitor uses fiber-optic \"Seelite\" conductors to transmit light from the headlamps and parking/turn signal lamps to the indicators visible to the driver.
This appears to be an unused New Old Stock/open-box kit that has been stored for many years. Please review all photos carefully for condition and completeness.

Chrome monitor is in very nice condition for its age with minor storage/handling marks. The original fiber-optic lines, connectors, hardware, instructions and templates are included as pictured.
IMPORTANT: This is a vintage NOS/open-box accessory and has not been installed or function-tested. Due to its age, I cannot guarantee that every small piece originally supplied with package #981417 is present. Please use the photos as the final reference for exactly what is included.
A very unusual original Buick accessory, especially with the installation instructions and multiple original full-size drilling templates still together with the monitor.
Great piece for a correct 1971-72 Buick restoration, GS, Skylark, Riviera, Electra 225, Centurion, LeSabre or Sport Wagon.
