4-Pin & 5-Pin 12V Car Relay Diagnostic Tool
Quickly Check Automotive Relay Operation
Automatic Detection • Digital Display • Red / Green Status LEDs
4-PIN & 5-PIN RELAY TESTING Product Description
Make automotive relay diagnosis quicker and easier with the RT01 Automotive Electronic Relay Tester. Designed for supported 4-pin and 5-pin automotive relays, this compact diagnostic tool helps check relay operation and identify abnormal relay performance.
Simply connect the tester to a suitable 12V vehicle battery, insert the compatible relay into the appropriate socket and press the TEST button. The tester performs its diagnostic sequence and provides an easy-to-read green or red LED result.
Ideal for automotive electrical diagnosis, workshop use, vehicle maintenance and DIY troubleshooting.
Simple Relay Diagnosis
Connect • Insert Relay • Press TEST • Check Result
Key Features ✔ Tests 4-Pin & 5-Pin Relays
Designed for compatible automotive electronic relays using supported 4-pin and 5-pin configurations.
✔ Automatic Relay Detection
The tester automatically checks the pin position of the inserted compatible relay as part of its diagnostic process.
✔ Repeated Operation Test
Once the supported pin position is established, the tester operates the relay through a repeated open-and-close test sequence to evaluate its operation.
✔ Easy LED Result
Green LED: relay passes the tester\'s diagnostic sequence.
Red LED: abnormal, unsupported or failed test result is detected.
✔ Digital Display
Equipped with a bright digital display for convenient viewing during testing.
✔ Direct Battery Connection
Supplied leads use red and black alligator clips for connection to a suitable vehicle battery.
How to Use
1. Connect Power: Connect the tester\'s black alligator clip to the battery negative terminal and the red clip to the battery positive terminal.
2. Check Power: When the initial red LED illuminates, the tester is powered and ready for the testing procedure.
3. Identify Relay: Check whether the relay uses a supported 4-pin or 5-pin configuration.
4. Insert Relay: Insert the relay fully into the appropriate compatible socket on the tester.
5. Start Test: Press the TEST button.
6. Automatic Detection: The tester checks the relay pin position. An unsupported or faulty relay may produce a red LED result.
7. Operation Test: For a supported relay configuration, the tester performs repeated opening and closing cycles to evaluate operation and release behavior.
8. Read Result: A green LED indicates a passed test result. A red LED indicates that the relay did not pass the tester\'s diagnostic sequence.
9. Disconnect: After testing, remove the relay and disconnect the alligator clips from the battery.

Important Compatibility Information
The supplied instructions specify use with a 12V vehicle battery. The stated battery detection range is 11V–25V.
Applicable relay coil resistance should preferably be 20Ω or higher.
Not every 4-pin or 5-pin relay necessarily uses the same internal configuration. Confirm that the relay type, pin arrangement and electrical specifications are compatible with the tester before use.
Electrical Safety: Observe correct battery polarity when connecting the clips. Avoid shorting the battery terminals or tester connections. Keep the tool and leads clear of hot or moving engine components and follow appropriate automotive service procedures. RT01 Automotive Relay Tester
