This is a string-bound portfolio of photographs ofNorwalk and South Norwalk Connecticut from circa 1898. The photographshave a beautiful sepia tone and lots of detail. Each has a caption beneath.
There are22 pages of photographs.The page measures 7x5.5inches (18 x 14 cm). The full-page photos measure approximately 5.5 x 4 inches (14 x 10 cm).
Produced by the Albertype Company as a set of mechanical photogravure prints. It is undated, but based on similar books in my collection and the presence of horse-drawn carriages in the photos it is circa 1890-1899.
