Old SATO Japanese Ginbari Cloisonne Enamel Rare Teal Blue Foil Vase w/ Three KoiA very nice high quality vintage vase marked on base as Sato Cloisonne.
Beautiful, deep teal (blue/green) ginbari is gorgeous. Very rare color of ginbari. This color is scarce compared to others.Foil underneath is dimpled with images stamped or etched, kind of Basse-Taille style.
Three colorful Koi swimming around with bright foil in varying shades of transparent ginbari enamel.Detail is better in hand. The features of the Koi are superbly done.Flash washes out some, but detail is visible in some photos at just the right angle.
Top and bottom silvered rims are robust and very shiny.Bottom rim stamped \"JAPAN*SATO CLOISONNE\".
Approximately 7 1/4\" Tall, 3 1/2\" Wide.
Excellent condition. There are no chips or cracks.Some normal minor wear on bottom of no significance.Very glossy finish and shiny silver foil and silvered rims.
This is a wonderful vintage cloisonne vase marked by a very well respected maker.
