Vintage OMEGA Constellation Chronometer Wristwatch. Reference 168.017. Stainless Steel. Matte Silver Dial. Automatic Chronometer Movement Caliber 561, with Sweep Center Seconds and Semi-Quick Set Date Features. Omega Stainless Steel Bracelet. Made in Switzerland. Circa 1966
Movement:Automatic (self-winding). Certified Chronometer. Copper colored. Caliber 561. 24 jewels. Central rotor. Micrometric index regulator. Shock protection (Incabloc). Adjusted 5 positions and temperature. Signed “Omega Watch Co., Swiss. Serial number: 23942829.
Dial: Matte silver (original factory). Applied silver “Omega” and logo at 12, and Constellation Star at 6 o’clock. Applied silver and black hour indexes. Minutes/seconds divisions. Silver and black hands. Sweep center seconds. Aperture for Semi-Quick Set Date at 3 o’clock (by moving the time repeatedly back and forth between roughly 9 pm and 3:00 am). Signed “Omega Automatic Chronometer, Officially Certified, Constellation, Swiss Made\".
Case: Stainless steel. Two-body. Round-shaped. Fixed plane bezel. Acrylic crystal. Solid lugs. Steel crown at 3 o’clock (signed). Back with embossed Constellation logo, signed inside, and engraved reference number and case features.
Dimension: 35 millimeters (37 mm including the crown). 40 millimeters lug to lug. Distance between lugs (to fit a different bracelet): 19 millimeters.
Bracelet:Original Omega stainless steel, reference 1040. Deployment clasp with Omega logo on front, stepped sides, and signed on blades.This watch fits in wrists up to 7.95” inches circumference (202 millimeters), and can be adjusted for smaller wrists using the clasp holes.
Condition: Good overall and working in all its functions. It shows signs of use as a vintage pre-owned timepiece: scratches and small dings on case and bracelet. Dial is complete and readable, showing aged patina on background. Movement is running properly (please check larger photographs and video for details).
