Original mixed-media textile artwork purchased directly from a local artist in Oaxaca, Mexico.A large-scale figurative composition worked on dark woven fabric, combining expressive hand-painted imagery with extensive hand embroidery in brightly colored thread. The stitched lines trace and overlap the painted forms, creating a highly textured, dimensional surface. Signed by the artist near the lower portion of the work.The textile is finished with fabric borders at the top and bottom, forming sleeves that could accommodate a rod for hanging. The reverse beautifully shows the extensive hand stitching throughout the composition.
