Beautiful vintage Italian oval picture frame featuring elaborate Rococo Revival ornament and a naturally aged antique-gold or brass-tone finish.

The pierced openwork border is richly decorated with scrolling acanthus-style foliage, curled C-scrolls, volutes, and fan-shaped palmette accents at the crown and base. A repeating stylized leaf pattern surrounds the oval picture opening, giving this small frame an especially ornate and architectural appearance.

The reverse is stamped “MADE ITALY” and retains its circular hanging ring for portrait-oriented wall display. This is a wall-hanging frame without an easel stand. Perfect for a gallery wall
