Rubbing and wear to exterior. Spine cocked. Fading to spine and board edges. Foxing and some small stains to top of textblock and to fore-edges. Evidence of some pencil writing, now erased, to front free endpaper (looks like an old price and possibly a name). Gutter partially exposed in a few places. Jacket with rubbing and wear, including some chips and small wrinkles closed tears at the spine ends, edges, and corners. Jacket spine sunned. Rear jacket panel with soiling. The Evening Standard \"Book of the Month\" wraparound band is present - it is split at the spine, with some sunning/foxing there, and with a closed tear to the rear part of the band. Jacket is price-clipped.
