Rare pair of antique Wilhelm Schiller & Sohn (W.S.&S.) Siderolith vases, model 160, Austria-Hungary, circa 1900–1910. Each features sculptural ram-head handles and opposing classical male and female portrait medallions highlighted by unusual red flame-like decoration on a dark Siderolith ground.
The vivid red ornament is particularly striking and far less commonly encountered than the typical earth-tone finishes seen on Schiller Siderolith wares. Marked W.S.&S. 160 to the base.
I have not seen any with red flames like these.
Measures approximately 15” high x 10” wide.
Good antique condition with some wear to the painted decoration, a few minor nicks, and expected age-related wear. Please review all photos carefully as they are part of the description.
