Papua New Guinea Wood Carved Spirit Mask Sepik River Region Mindimbit Village
Type: Vintage Papua New Guinea wood carved ancestral spirit mask from Mindimbit Village Sepik River Region East Sepik Province. I purchased this second hand with a short sentence on the back of where it was from. There is a wire on the back so it\'s ready to hang but also has a hole up at the top for hook hanging. Approximately 22\" tall by 9.5\" wide.Condition: Good pre-owned condition with age-appropriate wear, surface scuffs, a little dusty. The crack line on the back top left (photos 6&7) I believe was just from the piece of wood that was chosen to be used and not formed afterwards as it not coming apart, but I wanted to point it out.
