Vintage Penn conventional fishing reel with the free spool lever, about 3 inches across the side plates. The plate is stamped PENN REELS with the trade mark logo, plus Free, On and Free Spool around the lever. Black plastic side plates, chrome over brass frame with the pillar cage, black handle knob and a second grip knob, all present and turning. Sold as found and not restored: there is heavy tarnish and green verdigris across the frame, cage pillars and screw heads, the plate stamping is worn and no model number is readable, and there is old blue monofilament still on the spool with loops standing up on top. The free spool lever moves but the reel has not been serviced or tested on the water. Best suited to a display shelf, a nautical or cabin arrangement, or a restoration project where the parts matter more than the finish.
