Vintage Penn Jigmaster No. 500 conventional saltwater reel, made by Penn Fishing Tackle Mfg. Co. in Philadelphia, PA. Model and maker text are embossed on the side plates. Fitted with the red marbled plastic torpedo style handle knob and a chrome plated rim on the spool. Old line still on the spool.
Condition: this is an as found barn reel. Heavy green verdigris and patina cover the frame, side plates, and hardware, with pitting on both plates and surface rust on the rails and levelwind. Function has not been tested and the reel may be stiff or seized. Sold as a restoration project, parts donor, or display piece. Please study the photos.
