Product Description I believe this is an early PILOT “Capless” retracting fountain pen, manufactured in June 1966 (confirmed by the nib mark “666”).
The center is engraved with the “JIS mark,” a symbol certifying high quality at the time. This is a very rare original vintage piece from the Showa retro era, featuring a beautiful hairline-finished metal case.
[Condition of the item (important / reason for junk status)]* Internal mechanism malfunction: It\'s broken because the nib doesn\'t come out even when I knock on it. When you open the inside, it comes out with the spring attached. When only the spring doesn’t come out, turning the pen upside down and dropping it downward to create a height difference will make it come out.* Engraved: The lower part of the axis is faintly engraved with the words “Graduation Commemoration.”* Written confirmation: We do not perform a writing confirmation with ink or an internal ink filling test.
