Brothers Charles and Newton Arnold were photographers and printers who, in the early 1900s, published a total of 239 postcards of landmarks found in Bucks County, Pennsylvania — the place they called home. The Arnold brothers\' cards are perhaps the most well-known series of Bucks County postcards of their time.
This book was created as a complement to Postcards of Bucks County, a book published in 1980 by Bertha S. Davis, but provides much more information about the Arnold brothers, their businesses, their national advertising, and much more. Also included with each card are GPS coordinates and street addresses. Included in this 290-page book are images of all 248 postcards, as well as the history of each site, and photos of those sites taken both in 1980 and 2020. Please refer to the interactive map found on the product image on this page to see each site included in the book.
