Powerglide transmissions lack the simplicity of connecting a shifting linkage to them that later GM automatic transmissions adopted. As a result, there exist many different range select shafts with their differences. Our products utilize the later model range select shaft with its removable levers from 1968 and up.
If your Powerglide transmission shift lever is not removable, then you must purchase and install the 649-1202 kit that includes a new range select shaft.
