Check out Mytee Products’ Side Puller Recovery Tool to recover vehicles with winch angles (180° of side-to-side cable angle, 90° of downward cable angle) from ditches and narrow parking spaces. This towing accessory is installed at the rear of the car carrier rollback, allowing trucks to remain parallel with the road, taking up less roadway and keeping traffic flowing. The quick and easy application will save time, installation labor, and high costs. It will effectively replace Zip’s ZP-SPZ (part number) and fit steel and aluminum decks (requires a 2-1/4\" mounting hole). It also provides compatibility with Miller Industries 10 Series,12 Series, and 16 Series car carriers rollback. Learn more about the product details below:
- Recovery Tool: It’s a towing accessory widely used to recover vehicles from tough spots, such as narrow parking spaces, off-road emergencies, ditches, mud, snow, etc. It allows the car carrier rollback to stand parallel to the road, taking less roadway space and allowing the passing traffic to keep moving. Our tool can withstand a load capacity of 9,000 lbs.
- Vehicle Compatibility: Our side puller recovery tool is designed to fit Zip’s ZP-SPZ (part number) and Miller Industries 10 Series,12 Series, & 16 Series Steel Car Carriers Rollback. Also, any steel and aluminum decks (conditions applied) of car carrier rollbacks and tow trucks. No additional tools or labor are needed. Simply lock it into the standard key slot holes along the rear approach plate of the deck. But you have to:
- Drill a 2-1/4\" hole in aluminum decks.
- Keep a 5-1/2\" distance from the center of the holes to the opening end of the deck.
- Maintain an equal distance from the side rails.
- 3-Roller Guide System: This towing recovery accessory provides proper angles when towing vehicles without disrupting traffic. It features two steel side rollers and one polypropylene bottom roller. Side rollers create 180° of cable angle side-to-side, whereas the bottom roller creates 90°of cable angle downward. Moreover,
- These angles will further enable you to reposition heavy loads.
- It allows the operator to utilize the existing winch and winch line (sold separately).
- The winch line passes through the guide and onto the 3-roller guide system.
- The recommended winch line diameter is 3/8\".
- The roller keeps the winch away from the deck, protecting the wire from constant rubbing, increasing service life.

- Insert the side puller recovery tool into the existing car carrier rollback deck\'s standard key slots/approach plates.
- Slots are found at the rear approach plate of the deck or tailboard of the tow truck bed or car carrier rollback.
- Drill holes as suggested above on aluminum decks.
- Check for protruding shank and push the additional ring attachment (included) upward.
- Secure it with a hitch pin and cotter pin (included).
