He served in the Korean war twice and was a surviving member of the tragic 29th regiment. A recipient of multiple purple hearts from being shot on \"Old Baldy\" and a having a hand grenade go off next to him. He lost 1.5 inches of height in his right leg, still has shrapnel in his hands and eventually went completely deaf from the extreme decibels of the bomb. At 88 years of age, he is still going strong. My brothers are both Air Force veterans. Unfortunately, the closest one to me, passed away from cancer a few years back. He received training to be a firefighter in the Air Force . Finally, my husband is a veteran of the US Navy. Now, here I am on . ;-) I\'ve accumulated so much over the last few decades that I must begin to part with it.
