DP-5A Dosimeter — developed during the Cold War in the early 1960s for the Soviet Army. It was supplied to military bases and industrial civil defense shelters. These devices were used in training centers to prepare personnel for a potential nuclear war with the USA and Western countries.
The DP-5A was also used by Chernobyl cleanup workers (liquidators) to monitor radiation levels.
The device features a wide measurement range from 0.05 mR/h to 200 R/h.
