DP-5B Dosimeter — developed during the Cold War in the 1970s for the Soviet Army. It was supplied to military bases and industrial civil defense shelters. These devices were used in training centers to prepare personnel for a potential nuclear war with the USA and Western countries.
The DP-5B was also used by Chernobyl cleanup workers (liquidators) to monitor radiation levels.
