A rare surviving example of Swiss guilloché pendant watch jewelry from the interwar period. The watch piece, matching enamel station chain, and box are all original and have not been split up. Repair or wear — sold as-is.
Antique Art Deco Depor Swiss pendant watch necklace, circa 1920s–1930s, with a striking blue guilloché enamel case and original enamel link chain, housed in its original, signed, silk-lined presentation box from Ch. Bieri, Lucerne.
The watch is shaped in a shield or stylized trapezoid form with brilliant aqua blue guilloché enamel on both sides.
One side features a raised silver floral basket motif, and the other reveals the Depor-branded watch dial with Arabic numerals.
The crown is missing and the watch is not currently running. The case sides are decorated with engraved patterns typical of the Art Deco era.
The original chain is approximately 32 inches long and includes ten blue enamel tubes.
The clasp ring is hallmarked with what appears to be “ARG,” suggesting silver content. Sold as-is for display, wear, repair, or collection. Similar pieces from this era are uniformly manual wind, and most are not on running condition. I would personally not bother repairing this due to the cost of repair, the need to wind daily, and the fact that this is a superb, wearable, gorgeous necklace and truly historic period piece as it is.
