EXTREMELY RARE! This is a NM copy of the FIRST published book of poetry (1976) by convicted murderer Roberto Solis while he was in Folsom State Prison.
At 24, Pancho Aguila/Roberto Solis of Netflix and Unsolved Mysteries fame, was convicted of killing a Loomis guard during a botched robbery attempt. He was sentenced to life in prison and was later paroled in part due to his vast popularity as a prison poet. He then met 21-year-old Heather Tallchief and convinced her to get a job as a driver for the same armored truck company, Loomis. According to Tallchief, Solis orchestrated the massive heist that garnered them $3.1 million from the Circus Circus Hotel in Las Vegas.
They spent the next few years on the run, eventually ending up in the Netherlands where they parted ways. In 2005, Tallchief, who had a son with Solis, grew tired of living life as a fugitive and turned herself in, partly because her fraudulent passport was about to expire. She spent 63 months in prison.
Solis, who is known to have over 30 aliases, remains at large and may be deceased.
You can read more about his story on Grokipedia and/or watch the documentary about him on Netflix called Heist.
This rare book is in M/NM condition.
