This listing features the Michigan State Athletics Hall of Fame plaque belonging to Philadelphia Phillies pitcher and Baseball Hall of Famer Robin Roberts. This plaque was acquired as part of an sale lot of his MSU memorabilia in 2011, with full provenance (see attached letter from the Roberts family). Robin was inducted into the Michigan State Athletics Hall of Fame in 1992.
Robin won 286 games during his MLB career and struck out 2,357 batters. He was a 7-time All-Star, inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1976, and his #36 was retired by the Phillies.
The original sale tag is attached to the plaque in the top right outside corner. The two halves of the plaque are slightly misaligned. There are a few surface scratches on the outside covers. The inside plaques are in great shape. This is a truly 1-of-1 piece for either a Phillies or MSU collector!We will have other pieces of Robin\'s MSU memorabilia available in separate sales.
