This listing features several pieces of Michigan State athletics memorabilia belonging to Philadelphia Phillies pitcher and Baseball Hall of Famer Robin Roberts. These pieces were acquired as part of an sale lot of his MSU memorabilia in 2011, with full provenance (see attached letter from the Roberts family). Robin was inducted into the Michigan State Athletics Hall of Fame in 1992.

Robin won 286 games during his MLB career and struck out 2,357 batters. He was a 7-time All-Star, inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1976, and his #36 was retired by the Phillies.

The original sale tags are attached to the pieces in the top right corners. The lot features the following items:

1) A photo of the 1947 Michigan State basketball team; Robin is in the front row, in the middle, #17, holding a basketball/

2) A 1950 letter from Michigan State President John A. Hannah, congratulating Robin on his selection to the National League All-Star team (this letter is in the same sleeve as the basketball photo).3) A 1947 letter from Michigan State Scholarships Chairman Arthur J. Clark, informing Robin that he has been awarded a scholarship for that quarter.4) Robin\'s MSU Varsity Alumni \"S\" Club membership card.5) Robin\'s lifetime pass to all MSU home athletic events. (The two cards are in the same sleeve.)
