Easy to Assemble – Takes Less Than 5 Minutes
- Install the center part.
- Attach the outside clamp using 5-inch bolts.
- Secure the opposite side clamp with nuts. (If rods are bent prior to installation, use zip ties to hold them in place—this will simplify assembly.)

How does this clamp increase the resistance of the power rods?
The clamp functions as a fulcrum, altering the moment arm of the rods. This change creates a proportional adjustment in the spring rate relative to the distance. The higher you position the clamp on the rods, the greater the increase in resistance.
Think of it this way: if you take a paperclip and straighten it, then flex it at both ends, and then cut the paperclip in half and flex each half, you’ll notice that the shorter piece is significantly more rigid. By changing the fulcrum point on the rods, you effectively make the rod shorter and proportionally stiffer.

Interference Fit Tabs:Approximately 1% of the customers encountered issues due to a misunderstanding of the design considerations. The mounting tabs on the block are designed with a tapered offset, creating an interference fit. In the original design, the tabs were loose, which led to the block gradually loosening and detaching after a week of use. Given that the block supports a 400 lbs load at its base, this design proved to be unsuitable for durability.
Plastic Type Consideration:
PLA (Polylactic Acid): PLA is excessively brittle and degrades almost immediately under UV light exposure.
PTGA (Polytrimethylene Glycol Adipate): PTGA is hygroscopic, meaning it absorbs water and has minimal UV protection. It exhibits similar toughness to ABS.
ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene): ABS has a lower yield strength, making it a softer plastic, but it is considerably tougher. ABS tends to yield slightly before fatigue and offers excellent UV protection.
These items are 3D printed, made out of tough ABS plastic. I've used mine for over 2 years, 3 days a week. Works perfectly!
