Flavia Maximiana Theodora was the wife of Constantius Chlorus and an important member of the imperial family of the late 3rd and early 4th century. Ancient sources differ regarding her exact parentage, with some identifying her as the daughter or stepdaughter of Emperor Maximian and Eutropia.

Constantius Chlorus became Caesar in AD 293 under the Tetrarchic system established by Diocletian. He later became Augustus in the West in AD 305 and ruled until his death in Britain in AD 306.
👑 THE MARRIAGE OF AN EMPEROR & EMPRESS
The marriage of Constantius Chlorus and Theodora was more than a royal wedding — it was part of the political alliance system that helped hold the Tetrarchy together.
When Constantius became Caesar in the West, he married Theodora, strengthening his relationship with her imperial family and particularly with Maximian. The marriage produced six children, including Julius Constantius, Flavius Dalmatius, Hannibalianus, Constantia, Anastasia and Eutropia. Through Julius Constantius, Theodora would later become the grandmother of Emperor Julian.
This makes the two coins especially compelling when displayed together: one bears the portrait of the emperor and the other the portrait of his empress, connecting two individual pieces of ancient Roman currency to the same imperial family and historical chapter.
