Up for sale is a rare, authentic piece of Olympic history: an original souvenir cuff bracelet from the historic 1932 Summer Olympics (the Xth Olympiad).
This Art Deco-era piece features the iconic classic discus thrower (Discobolus) motif, flanked by the bold lettering \"Xth Olympiad\" and \"Los Angeles 1932\". Much of the original enamel still remains in the Olympic rings.
The inside of the band is smooth with no hallmarks, except for the impression of the discus thrower, consistent with official commercial souvenirs of the 1932 games, and this piece was inherited by the seller, directly from the original owner who purchased it at the 1932 Olympics in Los Angeles.
The band measures appx 6\" from end to end, and the opening is appx 2-1/8\" across
This bracelet shows signs of being worn. A good amount of the porcelain color in the Olympic rings is still remaining. No attempt has been made to clean it, and it shows the vintage patina. Please see the listing photos for condition.
