Rare Charles F Haviland Limoges Sugar Bowl with lid c1876-1882. Double handled gold gilt porcelain.
This rare lidded sugar bowl by CFH Limoges dates from 1876 to 1882 and is marked with the dark green underglaze “CFH” hallmark used exclusively during that period. Crafted in France, the piece features crisp white porcelain with an embossed leaf pattern and elegant gold gilding throughout.
Designed with two gracefully curved side handles and a matching lid topped by a rectangular finial, this sugar bowl showcases the refined style and craftsmanship that make antique Limoges pieces so collectible. It is both functional and highly decorative, ideal for display in a china cabinet or as part of a French country tea service.
The bowl stands 6.5 inches tall with the lid in place, has a 5-inch diameter, and measures 7 inches across from handle to handle.
Some expected wear to the gilding is visible, especially on the handles and edges, but the piece is in great overall condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. A beautiful example of late 19th-century Limoges porcelain.
