Offered for sale is an exceptional original signed gouache painting by Piero Ottinetti (1927–2018), an Italian graphic designer, illustrator, photographer, and fine artist.
Born in Piedmont, Italy, Ottinetti studied art in Rome before becoming one of the distinguished members of the renowned Milanese School of Graphic Design during the 1950s and 1960s. Throughout his celebrated career, he created artwork and advertising campaigns for many of Italy\'s most important companies, including Pirelli, Philips, Montecatini, Ceramiche Marazzi, La Cimbali, Busnelli, Lorenz, OM, Salmoiraghi, Lebole, and Cotonificio Cantoni.
In 1971, Ottinetti immigrated to Chicago, Illinois, where he continued his career as a professional designer and later served as Art Director for Kemper Insurance Group. During the mid-1980s, he retired from commercial design to devote himself entirely to painting. He passed away in 2018, leaving behind an extraordinary legacy of original artwork spanning both Europe and the United States.
This original gouache depicts members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) on horseback carrying the Canadian flag.
