For your consideration...
I believe this lamp is Fenton\'s holy grail - or at least one of them, for sure!Here\'s the rare vintage Fenton Burmese Gone With The Wind lamp. It\'s Uranium custard glass with a rose/pink ruffled top in the Embossed (Cabbage) Rose pattern. The Burmese glass GWTW lamps came in 2 different patterns (rose and poppy) and were hand blown into molds for highly embossed details. They were sometimes referred to simply as Rose Pattern. This original Burmese has that very special yellow glow that comes from the very small amount of uranium oxide (spent, of course) that creates its color. As you can see, it glows brilliantly under blacklight. You can also use blacklight light bulbs inside the globes as well. Also noteworthy is the beautiful ornate, heavy metal base and intermediate/top parts in brass tones. They don\'t make them like this anymore! This is the very large size GWTW lamp with both top and bottom globes that are ten inches wide at their widest. The color is simply superb! With the hurricane chimney, it would have measured 32\" tall. I had the chimney - but seem to have misplaced it. Without it, it measures approximately 28.5\" tall. The chimneys are easy and cheap enough to find on in case I can\'t find it. I never used it.
This lamp is in excellent working condition! When you turn the knob, it lights either the bottom, top or both globes. No chips, cracks or any damage whatsoever. Truly, an amazing find!
