- Front mirror-reflex strobe window illuminates clearly.
- Automatic start, repeat toggle, manual mode, and oil-dampened cueing function as intended.
- Note: Bench testing was conducted without connection to an amplifier or speakers, leaving the internal audio signal path unverified.
Wiring & Cabling: - AC Power Cord: Attached power cable is in structurally sound, functional condition with a clear plug assembly.
- RCA Output Cables: Hardwired audio signal cords show notable wear. Distinct sections exhibit degraded outer insulation with exposed copper shielding that will require repair, taping, or replacement. Red/white terminal plugs and grounding spade wire remain physically intact.
- Note: Minor vintage styrofoam fragments and old tape residue are adhered to sections of the cable jackets.
Cosmetics & Component Body: - Tonearm Assembly: Straight arm tube, counterweight, anti-skate dial, and headshell appear intact. Cartridge body and stylus housing are physically whole, though precise needle wear levels are unmeasured.
- Chassis Panel: Control knobs and brushed aluminum faceplate surface are clean with crisp, legible text. Rosewood plinth veneer shows a clean finish with minimal edge wear.
- Dust Cover: Clear acrylic cover with semi-freestop hinges is present and attaches firmly. Exhibits very superficial surface wear, including minor surface scrapes to the right of the emblem (see images).
Boxes & Paperwork: - Original Paperwork: Included factory owner\'s manual (ME0121-1179-F), illustrated technical brochure, and Lux Audio of America welcome letter are structurally intact but displaying minor surface staining from age.
- Inner Retail Box: Excellent cosmetic condition with vibrant graphics and clean edges.
- Outer Shipping Box: Present with matching serial number stamp (C0810097). Shows expected age-appropriate wear, corner tattering, creases, and a detached top flap that will be included inside the package (see images).
- Styrofoam Inserts: Molded foam inserts exhibit surface damage with missing cell chunks broken away over time, but they remain functional for structural support.
Terms of Sale: Due to the vintage nature, precise mechanical design, and identified RCA cable insulation wear on this item, it is sold as-is.Provenance & Collector Notes: This unique package includes the original nested factory double boxes displaying matching serial numbers. The outer box retains its original manufacturer ink stamps documenting its shipment from the historic Lux Audio of America headquarters at 160 Dupont St. in Plainview, NY, directly to Connecticut Audio in Cheshire, CT.
