An opalescent lemonade/water set introduced by Northwood Glass Company in 1889. Ruby opalescent stripe reminiscent of old fashioned candy canes! The color is magnificent!
I see some horizontal marks in the glass towards the crimp that look to be manufacturing defect from a claw tool that would have held the hot pitcher while a glass blower formed the crimp.
