Rare Olympus Chrome M-1 w/ 50mm f/1.8 student camera kit - Very Good Rare Olympus Chrome M-1 w/ 50mm f/1.8 student camera kit - Very Good
Olympus introduced the M-1 camera first and it was very successful. There was a trademark dispute and Olympus had to change the model to OM-1. There are only limited number of M-1 cameras in circulation which makes it a highly desirable collector's item.
We created these ready to shoot camera kits to make it easy for people to get into photography. Each kit consists of the following:
- camera body and a lens as noted in the title
- a camera strap
- batteries
- phone support for questions
- 30-day return with prepaid shipping for a full refund
- 90-day product warranty
Most of the film cameras we sell date back to the 70s and 80s. As lots of things can go wrong with a mechanical camera that is typically 30-40 years ago, we take our time to check and restore all the functions. Some of the typical tasks are:
- clean the camera body and make any necessary cosmetic repair/replacement
- check the shutter and meter to make sure they work
- check the self timer, if one is available
- change the seals and mirror damper
- lubricate all moving parts if necessary
- check the aperture follower for smooth operations
- check the preview function
- check for squeals and repair
We do our best to make sure our customers receive a fully functional and cosmetically good looking camera. In the unlikely event something is wrong, please just contact us so we will make things right for you.
Attached images are representative of the model but not necessary of the camera you are buying. In general, we classify our inventory into GOOD and VERY GOOD condition. Mechanically, they all work the same so the difference is purely cosmetic. If you care a lot about the item condition, we suggest you look at only ones in VERY GOOD condition. They are our best looking inventory. Items in GOOD condition will have more wear marks but nothing excessive.
The camera comes with either a Canon 50mm f/1.8 or Canon 50mm f/2.0 on a first available basis. If you have a particular preference, please add a Message To Seller when you check out, and before you pay, of your lens choice.
